Sunjay Kapur’s inheritance battle has been going on in the court for quite some time now. With each passing day, the issue is getting uglier. Amid the legal battle, Kapur’s sister Mandhira has slammed his third wife, Priya Sachdev and accused her of demanding secrecy at every stage of the inheritance process. In a recent interview, Mandhira called Priya a ‘fraud’. She then supported Karisma Kapoor’s daughter, Samaira’s statement of not getting university fees for the past two months.
In an interaction with the podcast InControversial with Pooja Chadhuri, Mandhira Kapur said, “You wanted an NDA. You wanted the Will in a sealed envelope. And now you don’t want a forensic. What are you hiding? How many games are we going to play?”
She continued, “As far as I go, I’m going to fight this till the end. Who is she not to pay the tuition fees, dude? It’s not her money that she’s claimed it. This is pure robbery. This is what you call major theft. This is what you call major fraud. And this country needs to wake up and see it.”

Mandhira also accused Priya of repeatedly resisting transparency and claimed that her mother, Rani Kapur, was made to sign papers ‘behind closed doors’ after Sunjay Kapur’s death. Mandhira added, “My mother doesn’t know what she signed. She was overwhelmed, grieving and vulnerable. This family has been ripped off everything that belongs to us. There is a family in which there were five of us who built this with dad. You can’t cut us off.”
Sunjay Kapur’s Wealth Battle
Since Kapur's death, his family has been fighting over his will and assets. Karisma Kapoor’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, have moved to the Delhi Court to demand a share in the assets of their late father, Sunjay Kapur. In their petition, they claimed that Priya Sachdev forged Sunjay’s will. Recently, they filed another petition against Priya to stop her from transferring or altering any of the late Industrialist’s assets until the case is not dissolved. The hearing is set to take place on November 20, today.
