About Thug Life
Thus Life's narrative centers on Sakthivel's raising of a boy named Amaran after he saves him from a police gunfight. A confrontation ensues after Sakthivel survives an assassination attempt years later, leading to suspicion being placed on the now-grown Amaran (Silambarasan).
Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam co-wrote Thug Life, which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Ashok Selvan, Joju George, Nasser, Abhirami, and Aishwarya Lekshmi in important parts. The music was written by A.R. Rahman, who has worked with Ratnam on a number of projects in the past.
For the unversed, the Tamil movie drew criticism for intimate scenes between 70-year-old Haasan and 42-year-old Krishnan. Netizens later also questioned movie's second song, Sugar Baby because of its title.
