Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been in the news lately due to exit rumours of its popular actors. Reports have been circulating online about Dilip Joshi aka Jethalal quitting the show. Not only him, rumours about Munmun Dutta, who plays the role of Babita, exiting the popular TV sitcom have also surfaced online. After Jethalal's absence from a few episodes, fans began to wonder if he had left the show. Amid the exit rumours, TMKOC producer Asit Modi broke his silence and assured fans that Dilip Joshi has been missing due to personal commitments and has not exited he show.

TMKOC Producer On Dilip Joshi's Exit Rumours

In an interview with ETimes, Asit Modi reacted to rumours surrounding his show. He mentioned that the show can’t revolve around a particular character all the time. Producer stated, “Whenever there’s news about TMKOC, it grabs a lot of attention. Sometimes, even sensitive or misleading things are written about the show. But honestly, I don’t bother about it much. If I start responding to every rumour, it will never stop. Recently, Jethalal (Dilip Joshi ji) wasn’t seen on the show for a while because of his personal commitments. But that doesn’t mean he has quit the show. It’s not always possible for the story to revolve around just one character. People start assuming things, but I stay focused on the storyline and ignore these rumours."

Earlier, he also addressed this matter by stating that 'As you know, social media these days has become so negative that you should try to keep a positive mindset. And Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is a completely positive show. It’s a family show that spreads happiness. So some people should think positively about it. It’s not right to spread rumours over small things or say anything inappropriate. That’s not a good thing," as quoted by Money Control.

Revealing the real reason behind the two's absence from the show, he added, "Lekin kuch nahi hai, sab log hamari team ka part hai. Kuch unke personal reasons the to us time nahi the. To aise koi baat nahi hai."

The rumours of Dilip Joshi and Munmun Dutta's exit started after viewers noticed that both Jethalal and Babita Ji had been missing from the ongoing Bhootni vacation plot for a long time. The members of Gokuldham Society, including Taarak Mehta, Anjali, Popatlal, Bapu Ji, and Sodhi were seen, but their absence of these main characters, sparked the debate. Now, assurance given by the show's producer has surely put all doubts to rest.
