Toxic trailer: Yash’s much-awaited Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups trailer is finally out. It offers a glimpse of his mysterious gangster avatar as Raya in Geetu Mohandas’ period crime drama set in Goa.
Toxic is set against the backdrop of Goa between the 1940s and 1970s. The trailer explores a turbulent period marked by political and social upheaval as Portuguese rule gradually begins to weaken.
The story delves into the rise of a powerful drug cartel and the growing influence of crime syndicates fighting to establish their dominance over the region.

Toxic stars Yash alongside Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth, with its female characters playing key roles in Raya’s power struggle.

Toxic has been directed by Geetu Mohandas and stars Yash in lead role. The movie has been shot in Kannada and English and will also release in dubbed versions across Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam. Toxic is budgeted at Rs 850–1000 crore, set to be most expensive movie ever made.
Originally slated for release on March 19, 2026, the makers of Toxic pushed the release to June 4, 2026, due to global tensions in the Middle East.
Recently, the June 4 release was dropped to allow more time for post-production, locking in the current August 26, 2026 date.
