Vicky Kaushal Reveals Sunil Grover Introduced Him To Katrina Kaif: 'First Time I Said...'

Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif have welcomed their first child, a baby boy, after four years of marriage. Before tying the knot, the couple kept their relationship private. After becoming husband and wife, they have been making revelations about their love story in interviews and shows. Vicky recently appeared on Two Much with Twinkle and Kajol episode, along with Kriti Sanon, where he recalled meeting Katrina for the first time. He also shared it was comedian and actor Sunil Grover who introduced him to her during an award show.

Vicky Kaushal Recalls His First Meeting With Katrina Kaif

Recalling his first interaction with Katrina, Vicky said during his appearance at Too Much show, “The first time I met her was at an award show which I was hosting, and she was a guest there. I performed ‘Chikni Chameli’ with her on stage, and in fact, I met her first on this stage only, and then we went backstage with Sunil Grover. This was the time when Sunil Grover and Katrina had worked together in Bharat and they were friends with each other. So three of us are standing together, and I was there, and he (Sunil Grover) introduced me to her. During the first five minutes of meeting Katrina, she taught me how to host the show and what was left of the show was that I just had to go on the stage and say good night to everyone. I had hosted the entire show by then; it was all done."

Further recalling their first conversation, Vicky continued, "First time I said ‘Hi, Katrina’ and she said ‘Hi, Vicky’ and she started telling me that you should not care about the audience… I have gotten a full-blown tutorial about how to host an award show, which I had already finished."

Vicky Remembers Proposing To Katrina Kaif

Vicky also shared a funny memory from another award show, which became viral, stating, "During the second award show, I had asked Katrina, ‘Why don’t you get married to a nice guy like Vicky?’ We weren’t dating at that time."

Explaining the moment, the actor shared, “The truth is that that was a gag on stage in that show and that no matter which heroine shows up, I had to ask this question to them. So during that night of the show, I didn’t just ask Katrina, I had asked many actresses that same question, but it was just the clip of me and Katrina that went viral.”

Twinkle Khanna then quipped that at that time, both Vicky and Katrina were "big stars." Vicky, in response, said, "She is a superstar. A much bigger star, she is still the bigger star. She will always be.”

Vicky And Katrina Relationship Timeline

Rumours of Vicky and Katrina dating began around late 2019 and continued till they tied the knot in 2021 in a private wedding ceremony in Rajasthan. After four years of marriage, the couple welcomed their first child on November 7 this year. Now, they are embracing a new chapter in their lives as parents.
