Vicky Kaushal and Amar Kaushik are all set to collaborate for his upcoming mythological movie, Mahavatar. A project that is based on the life of Chiranjeevi Parashurama. The film is one of the most-awaited movies of Kaushal, as it’s the first time he will be seen playing a mythological character. Recently, director Amar Kaushik talked about the film and confirmed that the shoot will commence next year after the completion of Vicky Kaushal’s prior commitments. The director also mentioned that the film needs significant resources and extensive VFX.
In an interview with PTI, Amar Kaushik talked about Mahavatar and said, “This film is a very big responsibility for me in my career. It has come from God because this character has been with me since childhood. We used to live next to the Parashuram Kund in Arunachal Pradesh and visited it often. This was a ritual at our home, and every visit would fascinate me deeply.”
“I didn't know how to approach it because it needed significant resources and extensive VFX. I also wanted to ensure it remained true to the vision in my mind,” the filmmaker added.
Amar Kaushik also shared his enthusiasm about working with Vicky Kaushal. He added, “Whenever I meet him, I see a lot of purity in him. He is the best person to portray this character. We will shoot next year once Vicky completes his commitments and begins his prep.”

When asked if Kaushik would like to step outside Maddock’s horror-comedy world, the filmmaker added, “That's why I am working on Mahavatar and that's why I directed Bala. I am producing other films as well. But I cannot leave the (horror-comedy) universe because people have showered so much love on it. I cannot ignore that responsibility.”
He concluded, “I feel a deep sense of commitment to the audience that has embraced my brand of storytelling. I intend to keep building on that legacy with all my heart.”
