Actor Vijay Devarakonda has escaped unhurt after his car was involved in a road accident in Jogulamba Gadwal district, Telangana, on Monday. The incident reportedly occurred when he was returning to Hyderabad from Puttaparthi. As per reports, another car hit his vehicle from behind, but fortunately, no one was injured in the incident. Vijay Deverakonda has safely reached Hyderabad after this mishap.

According to reports, Vijay was travelling with his family in his car when the vehicle was struck by a Bolero that suddenly took a sharp right turn, causing a collision. This resulted in minor damage to the actor's car. After the incident, Vijay and his family were unharmed and continued their journey in another vehicle.

Vijay's driver has lodged a complaint with the local police, who have registered a case and will begin an investigation, as per the NDTV report.

On October 3, Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna got engaged in a secret ceremony in the presence of their family members and close friends, as confirmed by Vijay's team.

After the engagement, Vijay visited Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Prasanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi with his family on October 6, where he showed off his engagement ring. This marked his first appearance after the engagement rumours.

Vijay and Rashmika have been rumoured to be dating for a few years since they collaborated on films Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade. They were often spotted in the same location, sparking dating rumours. Now, the actors have had their engagement, although they have not officially confirmed it yet.

As per media reports, Vijay and Rashmika are expected to get married in February 2026.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Vijay Deverakonda was seen in the movie Kingdom, directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The movie is available to stream on Netflix in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.

Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, is gearing up for Thamma, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Paresh Rawal and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The film is to hit theatres on October 21. She also has Cocktail 2 alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
