Rise and Fall Season 2: Virender Sehwag has replaced Ashneer Grover to host the second season of Rise and Fall. Prime Video confirmed the news with a first-look promo on Friday. The Indian opener will host a reality show on OTT for the first time.

Virender Sehwag, who is renowned for his fearless batting, keen humour, and unmistakable straight-talking manner, is expected to bring the same enthusiasm to Rise and Fall 2.

The 15 celebrity contestants in Rise and Fall are split into two groups: the Rulers and the Workers.

The Rulers enjoy the relative luxury of the penthouse while the Workers live in the basement. As the game goes on, the contestants can switch between the two worlds. Their places are decided by choices, alliances, and tactics.

Virender Sehwag said, "Cricket has taught me one thing—no match is won before the final ball, and Rise and Fall Season 2 takes that unpredictability to another level. As a host, what excites me about this game is that there are no easy wins and no fixed positions.

"With money, strategy, and shifting equations in play, there’s no room for complacency. I’m looking forward to watching the contestants navigate the game, take risks, make alliances and show what they’re really made of," he added.

Variety India claims that Govinda has been approached to participate in the second season of the reality show and is reportedly eager to do so. If the agreement is final, it would be the first time the Bollywood star enters a reality TV show as a contestant.

About Rise And Fall Season 1

Rise and Ashneer Grover hosted Fall Season 1. It centred on a struggle for dominance between two groups: the struggling Workers in a basement and the wealthy Rulers in a penthouse.

Arjun Bijlani won the first season of Rise and Fall. Other participants on the show included Dhanashree Verma, Arbaaz Patel, Nayandeep Rakshit, Aarush Bhola, and Akriti Negi.
