R Madhavan, who portrayed the role of a villain in the psychological horror movie Shaitaan, recently opened up about the emotional toll of certain intense scenes from the film, especially the urination seen. In a recent interaction with the Bollywood actress Kajol, R Madhavan was seen revealing how he tackled the sensitive scene where actress Janki Bodiwala was supposed to pee in reality. “More than that, it was very sensitive. There was a scene where I make my daughter dance for the whole night and she can't hold her bladder anymore, and she pees. The original film shows a different message, but now as me being a villain, it comes off with a different message. I wanted it to look disgusting!”, the actor told Kajol in a video, which was shared by JioStudios on their YouTube channel.
R Madhavan also discussed how he managed his discomfort during the shoot. “Then I covered myself with a blanket so I didn't have to see it, and I felt really relieved as an actor also that I didn't have to react to that also. I am just telling the mother, can you go help your daughter? There were many scenes like these which made me feel uncomfortable and I had to come out of it somehow,” he added.
