Akshay Kumar's highly anticipated movie Welcome To The Jungle seems to have encountered some difficulties. According to reports, the movie's shoot has been put on hold due to serious financial troubles. The movie, which began filming in December 2023, hasn't seen much progress in the last 9 to 10 months. The actors have been allotting dates for the shoot of Welcome To The Jungle to producer Firoz Nadiadwala, and the same stands cancelled at the last minute due to logistical and financial issues.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the cast, including the big stars, haven't been paid yet. Their payments are pending, and that's made the situation even more uncertain. "Around two to three schedules of Welcome To The Jungle have been cancelled over the last six months, leaving the actors and their team confused about the prospects," the report claimed. "There are also issues of non-payment of dues to the actors and their staff. Some of the originally cast actors have left the film, and the remaining are still lending their support for the love of the franchise," the report further added.

Akshay Kumar, according to a Hindi news report, holds a major 80 per cent stake in Welcome To The Jungle, while the remaining 20 per cent is shared between producer Firoz Nadiadwala and a few others. So far, Nadiadwala has not commented publicly on the situation. The movie is directed by Ahmed Khan and was originally slated for a grand theatrical release on December 20, 2024. However, with the shoot on hold, it's uncertain whether the film will meet its scheduled release date.
