Indian women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and singer Palaash Muchhal were expected to tie the knot on November 23, 2025. However, the marriage got postponed after their families cities health issues as reason behind delay. The sudden removal of all wedding-related posts—including engagement and proposal photos—from Smriti's Instagram account was quickly noticed by fans. This action, coupled with the couple's ensuing silence, ignited widespread speculation about their status across major social media platforms like Reddit, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter).
As the situation drew more attention, an unverified, anonymous Reddit post claimed that two choreographers from the Bosco group, Nandika Dwivedi and Gulnaaz, who were hired for the wedding dances, were somehow involved in the underlying issue. Despite a complete lack of evidence, these allegations quickly went viral, causing significant online outrage and resulting in both choreographers trending on social media.
Amid the controversy, Gulnaaz broke her silence and wrote on her IG Story, "I’ve been noticing a lot of speculation and false claims going around about me and my friend Nandika, so I want to make it clear that we are not the people involved in this issue. Just because we know someone socially or have a photo with them doesn’t mean we are connected to their personal matters. Please let’s keep things respectful and not jump to conclusions. We appreciate your understanding and support."

Amidst a lot of speculations around the wedding, an update has confirmed that the wedding will go on as per the plan. Palash's mother, Amita, has stated that the couple is under distress due to the entire situation. “Smriti and Palash dono takleef mein hain. Palash dreamt of coming home with his bride. I had even planned a special welcome. Everything will be fine, shaadi bohot jaldi hogi," Amita was quoted as saying by the Hindustan Times.
“Palash’s condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event. While certain levels were found to be slightly elevated, there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency," Dr Dipendra Tripathi, one of the senior doctors monitoring Palash, told Mid Day.
“Oxygen therapy was started immediately as a basic line of treatment. After initial stabilisation, he (Palash) was shifted to a general room and kept under observation," Tripathi added.
