Sparsh Shrivastava isn't a new face for Disney India fans. He won hearts on Shake It Up! and went on to build a career across television and Bollywood, often picking up roles in unconventional, critically acclaimed films and shows.
Who Is Sparsh Shrivastava?
Sparsh Shrivastava was reportedly born in Rajakheda, Rajasthan, though his family moved to Agra, Uttar Pradesh, soon after. He won the popular dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom in 2010, a win that opened doors for him as an actor.
The actor revealed that his mother moved to Mumbai with him while his father and brother stayed back in Agra, in a conversation with Hindustan Times. He also mentioned that it took the industry over a decade to really notice him.
After his reality show win, he appeared in a few episodes of Fear Files: Darr Ki Sacchi Tasvirein in 2012. One of his most memorable early projects is the 2013 Disney India show Shake It Up!, where he played Neel, a young boy passionate about dance.
He later played Young Kundan Singh in the popular Colors TV show Balika Vadhu, from 2015 to 2016. His other projects from that period include Sher-E-Punjab (2017) and Prithvi Vallabh (2018).

The real turning point in his career came with the 2020 Netflix series Jamtara – Sabka Number Ayega. He then found mainstream recognition with the massive success of Laapataa Ladies, produced by Aamir Khan.
The actor was lauded for his performance in the Prime Video original, Dupahiya. The second season premiered on October 1, 2026, following the first season's warm reception after its release in March 2025.

'Danced In Frock': Sparsh Shrivastava
Sparsh brings in feminine gestures and grace for his role, something he credits to his childhood Kathak training and early stage performances.
Speaking to Screen, he explained how deep-rooted this training was for him.
"I think they (girl) were already within me because when I was small, my mother taught me the dance form, Kathak. I've learned Kathak for three years. So those gestures, that grace was already there somewhere. In childhood, I even danced wearing frocks on local stages in Agra. So, I think it was always there somewhere down the line. But it's been a really long time since I practiced that art form again."

Sparsh Shrivastava Latest Movies
Just before Dupahiya 2, Sparsh Shrivastava played Bugs, a by-the-book IT employee, in the Hindi action-comedy Vibe, which hit theatres on September 18, 2026. It mixed humour with slick action, with Sparsh sharing an energetic screen presence alongside Kunal Kemmu and Preity Zinta.
As per a report by India Today, Sparsh will next be seen in a negative role in Naga Chaitanya's upcoming pan-India film NC24, though an official announcement is still awaited.
