BTS ARMYs are waiting for the much-anticipated reunion of the popular Kpop band. The wait will end soon as BTS Suga, aka Min Yoongi and August D, is set to be discharged from the mandatory military service on June 21. But are you aware that the kpop star served in the military as a social service agent? Yes, August D had some health-related issues, including having surgeries on his shoulder and ear. Therefore, Suga was considered as ‘unfit for regular combat duty’. He was assigned to a less physically demanding role in his mandatory military service as a social service agent. He did not serve on the front lines rather contributed in an alternative capacity since September 22, 2023.

A few days ahead of his discharge, BTS’s label Big Hit Music announced that the Kpop star will be discharged soon. In a statement shared on Weverse, “Hello. This is BIGHIT MUSIC. We are excited to bring you the news of Suga’s upcoming Social Work discharge. Suga is close to completing his service as a Social Work Personnel and will soon be discharged. No special events are planned on the day of Suga’s discharge. Overcrowding can pose safety risks, and we sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts. We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for Suga. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists. Thank you once again for your continued love and support for BTS.”

BTS RM, V, Jungkook and Jimin have been discharged from the military earlier this month. Jin and Jhope completed their military service last year. After Suga’s discharge, the kpop band is set to have a reunion. Fans across the world are quite excited to see Jin, Jhope, RM, V, Jungkook, Jimin and Suga together and their group project soon.
