Avinash Tiwar, who rose to fame after playing Qais in Laila Majnu opposite Triptii Dimri, enjoys a huge fan following. From portraying a dedicated lover in Laila Majnu to becoming a supervillain in Khakee, Avinash has proved his mettle. His style of switching and adapting roles in different genres is what pleases the audience the most. The Bulbbul actor’s charismatic and humble personality has garnered him immense love from people. But just like any other Bollywood star who gets trolled on social media for one reason or another, Avinash has also faced bodyshaming for his ‘belly fat.’ Interestingly, it is by a Pakistani journalist.
Pakistani costume designer Rao Ali Khan recently took a nasty jibe at Avinash Tiwary and commented about his belly fat under one post, which went viral on social media. The conversation between Avinash Tiwary and Rao Ali Khan took place on Instagram several days ago but has surfaced on Reddit now and is gaining attention online.
Rao Ali Khan commented, “Loved Bombay Meri Jaan… Was thinking why do you have belly fat in Khakee and Bombay Meri Jaan both…happy to see fitter body - super, super!" Avinash responded to this comment strongly and suggested the designer to focus on craft rather than bodyshaming other people. He wrote, “Sir, you are a journalist. If you had done any research you would know it was for the part…I suggest get beyond the idea of just vanity for cinema. Thank you.”

In another comment, Rao Ali Khan said, “Loved Bombay meri jaan but pls lose weight and look fit.” Reacting to it, Avinash replied with an “Okay.” This social media conversation between the two sparked anger among fans as they showed support towards the charming Bollywood actor.
One user wrote, “A rude response to body-shaming isn’t necessarily unjustified. It’s strange how people demand perfection and patience from those who are mocked for their appearance, simply because they are famous. Insults are thrown around casually, but any reaction is immediately criticised as arrogance.” Another one stated, “Love him for this, he's an artist through it all. And it definitely adds with the realism, seen some grounded films where the lead has abs and muscles while working all day on a sh**y desk job with a sh**y diet. Always takes me out.” Several others came in support of Avinash Tiwary and expressed their love towards him.

On the work front, Avinash recently wrapped up the shoot of Ginny Weds Sunny 2, which marks his first solo commercial film that will release in theatres after Laila Majnu in 2018. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their beloved Qais recreate magic on screen once again with another role.
