Mirai: The Telugu fantasy action movie Mirai, starring Teja Sajja as Super Yodha, is generating significant buzz across India. Set in a mythological, futuristic world, the story revolves around Super Yodha and his quest to safeguard the nine sacred scriptures of Emperor Ashoka, mystical relics that were said to have the potential to transform mortals into deities. Like every great hero, Super Yodha faces a powerful foe, the dark force of Black Sword, led by Manoj Manchu. The film was released in the theatres today and has been widely applauded for its visual effects, action sequences, Prabhas' voice and overall cinematic experience. Fans are calling it another blockbuster for Teja Sajja and goosebump-inducing, especially due to the blend of modern superhero elements, ancient mythology, gripping storytelling, powerful background music (BGM), nd stellar performances.

Mirai Pan-India Release: Bollywood Backing

Mirai was initially scheduled for release on April 18, but was postponed to August, and finally hit theatres on September 12. The Telugu action thriller is released in eight languages, including Telugu (original), Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Chinese. To ensure a strong Pan-India reach, the makers have crafted a strategic release plan. Karan Johar's Dharma Productions has acquired Hindi theatrical rights, helping extend the film's powerful impact across North India. Meanwhile, the Kannada release is being handled by Hombale Films, and the Tamil version is distributed by AGS Cinemas.

Mirai: Worth The Hype?

Teja Sajja's film Mirai may be based on similar themes as films like Hanu-Man, Karthikeya 2 and others. However, the story stands out as it takes a completely independent turn, incorporating elements such as human values and emotions like compassion, ethics, sacrifice, hate, greed and arrogance. Some have found the movie's next-level VFX and CGI to make it an unforgettable ride and a game-changer, while others have also called the second half slow and criticised the film's length. Mirai Box Office Potential

After delivering Hanu-man, one of the biggest hits in Telugu cinema in 2024, actor Teja Sajja returns to captivate audiences with another high-octane spectacle, Mirai, directed by Karthik Gattamneni. Hanu-Man opened to a blockbuster debut, grossing over Rs 100 crores domestically in its first week. With positive word-of-mouth and consistent momentum at the box office, it went on to reach Rs 200 crores during its theatrical run in India. With such a solid track record of Teja Sajja's films, expectations are sky-high for Mirai among fans. The film has already shown a positive early response in the USA, where its premiere advance sales are promising.

Strategic OTT Release Of Mirai

Details about Mirai's OTT and satellite partner have emerged online. According to Telugu123, the digital rights have been acquired by JioHotstar and the satellite rights by Star Maa. However, the makers have yet to make an official confirmation.

Besides Teja Sajja, the movie also stars Ritika Nayak, Manoj Manchu, Shriya Saran, Jagapati Babu and Jayaram Subramaniam in key roles and their performances are also being lauded.
