Get ready to return to Westeros! A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a highly anticipated spin-off series of the acclaimed HBO show Game of Thrones, is set to premiere on JioHotstar in January 2026. The series is an adaptation of George R.R. Martin's novella The Hedge Knight and follows the journey of Ser Duncan the Tall, a young and courageous knight played by Peter Claffey and his squire Egg, played by Dexter Sol Ansell.
The story takes place a century before the events of Game of Thrones, during a time when the Targaryen dynasty still rules Westeros and the memory of the last dragon is still fresh. This period setting allows for a unique exploration of the world of Westeros, with its rich history and complex characters. As the unlikely duo of Ser Duncan and Egg embark on their adventures, they will encounter great destinies, powerful foes and dangerous exploits that will test their bond and their courage.
The series boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Finn Bennett as Aerion Targaryen, Bertie Carvel as Prince Baelor Targaryen, Tanzyn Crawford as Tanselle, Daniel Ings as Ser Lyonel Baratheon, and Sam Spruell as Prince Maekar Targaryen. With its gripping storyline, stunning visuals, and compelling characters, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms promises to be an unforgettable addition to the Game of Thrones universe.
