Nushrratt Bharuccha Disheartened About Not Being A Part Of Ayushmann Khurrana's Dream Girl 2? Here's What She Said

Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is currently busy promoting her upcoming project 'Çhatrapthi', where during the promotions of the film, the actress opened up about not being a part of the second installment of 'Dream Girl.'

Nushrratt played the lead role in the 2019 release 'Dream Girl' alongside Ayushmann Khurrana which was a blockbuster at the box office. However, in the second installment of the film, the leading lady has been replaced, and now Ananya Panday will be seen in the film.

During the promotion of her film 'Chatrapthi', Nushrratt revealed that she was 'disheartened' when she found out that she was not a part of the film. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the actress called Ayushmann Khurrana, her 'closest friend', and said that she will continue to cheer for the success of the film.

Nushrratt said, "When you've done a film, which has been well received, you do get connected with it. Dream Girl is always going to have a special connection. Also because Ayushmann was genuinely a delight to work with, and he's someone whom I honestly call my closest friend from the movie business. He was the only person who called to check on me when I had fallen sick and had vertigo."

She further added, "My director Raaj Shaandilyaa, with whom I also did Janhit Mein Jaari, is also very close to my heart. So for me the whole set up and the whole team is special. Of course it was disheartening to not be part of their second journey. But having said that, I wish the best to the film and I'm going to be cheering for them, watching the first day first show and hoping the film does more than 200-300 crore."

Recently, Ayushmann Khurrana and Ananya Panday informed their fans that the film will be releasing on August 25, where earlier it was slated to release in July. Ayushmann took it to his Instagram and wrote, "Pachees badi hai mast mast, kyunki @pooja___dreamgirl aa rahi hai on 25 August. #PoojaKiKissOnAug25 #DreamGirl2 releasing in theaters on 25th August, 2023."

Meanwhile, Nushrratt Bharuccha's upcoming film 'Chatrapthi' also features Bellamkonda Sreenivas and is slated to hit theaters on May 12. She also had 'Chhorri 2' alongside Soha Ali Khan in her kitty.
