Omar Lulu Accused Of Rape And Drugging A Girl After Promising Marriage: Report

Renowned Malayalam filmmaker Omar Lulu has been going through a tough time as he has been accused in a sexual assault case.  As per reports, the victim has accused him of rape and allegedly drugged her with an MDMA-laced drink. The reports also suggested that the complainant alleged that Omar made false promises of marriage and hid his marriage. The victim further stated that he had sexually assaulted her by promising a role in his upcoming movie. The complainant shared that she was called to a hotel to discuss a film with the director but was raped after being drugged as the victim mentioned in the petition.  

Justice C S Dias led bench allowed her to be added as a respondent in Omar Lulu's plea. Then the court adjourned the bail hearing to July 22, according to reports. In her petition, the victim said in her petition that Omar had drug addiction. The Palarivattom police initially filed a case based on this statement but later it was transferred to Nedumbassery police station after the City Police Commissioner ordered it.  

As per reports, the victim also alleged that Omar’s driver Nasil Ali, friend Azad and some other people threatened her to settle the case privately. The victim agreed to present the recordings of mobile conversations as evidence to the court.
