Shatrughan Sinha has been discharged from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Ambani Hospital following his routine annual check-up. His return home was confirmed by family friend Pahlaj Nihalani, expressing happiness over actor's recovery. Sinha's sons Luv and Kussh, along with his wife Poonam, accompanied him back from the hospital. Meanwhile, his daughter Sonakshi Sinha is currently on a romantic getaway with Zaheer Iqbal.
The veteran actor, who had been extensively traveling for elections and then the wedding, landed in Mumbai's Kokilaben hospital. Initial rumours suggested he underwent surgery, but his son Luv Sinha clarified in interviews that Shatrughan Sinha was hospitalised due to fever and did not undergo any surgery. Recently, the actor himself commented on the same. Speaking to Times Now, Shatrughan said, "Arrey bhai, mujhe surgery hui aur mujhe khud nahin maloom (If I had surgery, wouldn’t I know?)"
Telling the reason behind his hospitalisation, the actor said, "Just for annual routine full-body checkup. I recommend it for everyone over 60. I’ve been travelling for my election campaigning nonstop for three months. Then right after my daughter got married. I’m no longer that hot-blooded energy-driven young man who could do three shifts a day and still have the energy to party all night. I need to slow down."

Shatrughan Sinha expressed his happiness over his daughter Sonakshi's marriage, stating that everything went smoothly. He thanked the Almighty for her happiness and addressed those who may have negative opinions, stating he has nothing further to say to them.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged vows on June 23 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. The festivities commenced with traditional pujas at their family home, Ramayan, followed by an indoor party and mehendi ceremony. Later, Sonakshi shared photos from their special day, reminiscing about their love journey over the past seven years and expressing gratitude for the support of their families and faiths.
Dropping the pictures, she wrote, "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi - Zaheer 23.06.2024."
