SSMB29: Prithviraj Sukumaran To Play Villain In Mahesh Babu And SS Rajamouli's Movie?

SSMB29: SS Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu are set to collaborate for the first time for an epic action-adventure drama. With pre-production concluded, filming is imminent. Mahesh Babu is diligently preparing for his role in this high-budget production. Recently, actor-filmmaker Prithviraj Sukumaran has joined the cast, reported to portray the antagonist, adding a significant dimension to the film's lineup.

The highly anticipated SSMB 29, which has generated considerable buzz since its announcement, is yet to begin production. According to a report on 123 Telugu, Prithviraj has signed on for the role, excited by the script that intrigued him. SS Rajamouli aims to redefine the hero-versus-villain dynamic with SSMB29, where Prithviraj's character is not a typical villain but a well-developed role with a character arc. "SS Rajamouli and Prithviraj Sukumaran have been holding talks for some time, and the latter has reportedly given his nod as the script excited him. Rajamouli wants to redefine the hero v/s villain conflict with SSMB29. Prithviraj won’t be playing a typical villain role. His character is well-written and has an arc. The scripting is mostly done, and Rajamouli is planning to commence the shoot by the end of the year," stated the report.

Earlier reports also stated that Aamir Khan has been offered a compelling role in SSMB 29. The film promises an unprecedented scale and budget, with ambitions to assemble a diverse ensemble cast that may include Hollywood stars, leveraging Rajamouli's extensive network. Penned by Vijayendra Prasad and with P.S. Vinod as cinematographer, Anbariv as action choreographer, and Oscar winner MM Keeravani composing music, further project specifics are eagerly anticipated.

Mahesh Babu is intensively training physically for his upcoming role in SSMB 29, evidenced by recent online photos showcasing his long hair and stubble beard. The film, described as a jungle adventure drama, is set to be a grand-scale production with an estimated budget of Rs 1000 crore, with Mahesh Babu also serving as co-producer.

certain reports indicate that Mahesh Babu's character in the film draws inspiration from Hindu mythology, particularly embodying traits of Lord Hanuman. Fans eagerly await further updates on this project.
