JE Entertainment Desk: The much-anticipated Netflix anime series 'One Piece' from the live-action adaptation has created waves on the internet with the streaming giant releasing the first official trailer of the series which gave an in-depth glimpse to the fans of their favorite characters.
The trailer opens up with the iconic straw hat crew with Inaki Godoy taking the role of Luffy with a complete signature straw hat look, whereas the rest of the crew looks breathtaking to their anime counterparts including Nami, Sanji, and the others, who join Luffy on his epic journey.
The official trailer also gives glimpses of Shanks and Buggy and of course, Luffy's famed Devil Fruit ability is perfectly reflected and showcased in the series where his rubber powers take the center of attraction.
'One Piece' fans have been waiting for this adaptation for years where they have peaked their enthusiasm with the fact that the series has received the full approval and involvement of the creator Eiichiro Oda.
He earlier expressed his intention to explore a live-action adaptation of this manga where Netflix fortunately secured the licensed rights for the series and he came on board as a producer having his detailed attention to the series and bringing his vision.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the creator also shared his excitement over the adaptation of the series when he said, "The live-action version is something we've been working on behind the scenes even while making [One Piece Film] Red and [One Piece] Stampede."
One can watch the world of 'One Piece' before the live-action series drops in, where the original anime is streaming on Crunchyroll and also available on Hulu. Meanwhile, the 'One Piece' manga also continues its original-ongoing series with new chapters added which would be available for you to read on the Shonen Jump app.
As the official teaser trailer was released, fans dwelled in sheer curiosity and excitement to witness the authentic portrayal of their manga series where the characters will take one on an extraordinary journey and Netflix is all set to tell the grand tale on August 31, 2023.
