Oru Jaathi Jathakam delayed on OTT: Oru Jaathi Jathakam, a Malayalam romantic comedy film, hit theaters in January 2025 and had a moderate run at the box office. The movie was initially scheduled to make its OTT debut on ManoramaMAX on March 14, 2025. However, fans were left disappointed when the film failed to release on the platform as planned. ManoramaMAX took to Instagram to explain the reason behind the delay, leaving audiences eagerly awaiting the new OTT release date, which is yet to be announced.
Oru Jaathi Jathakam Delayed On OTT
Oru Jaathi Jathakam faced unexpected delay due to censoring process. Manorama Max wrote on Instagram, “The release of Oru Jaathi Jathakam on our platform has been delayed due to a recensoring process following a notice issued by the High Court regarding certain remarks in the film. We appreciate your patience and will update once a new release date is confirmed.”
About the movie: Directed by M. Mohanan and penned by Rakesh Mantodi, Oru Jaathi Jakhakam boasts an impressive ensemble cast, featuring the versatile Vineeth Sreenivasan, the talented Nikhila Vimal and the seasoned Babu Antony. Additionally, the movie includes notable performances by Kayadu Lohar, Isha Talwar, Pooja Mohanraj and Mridul Nair.
Oru Jaathi Jathakam revolves around the life story of Jayesh, a man hailing from North Malabar. The narrative takes a fascinating turn when Jayesh encounters a mysterious girl who claims to be an expert in palmistry. Intrigued, Jayesh readily agrees to have his palm read, but the girl's ominous predictions leave him stunned. She foretells that this period will be the worst time of his life, marked by ridicule and turmoil, ultimately culminating in him creating a great deal of trouble. The girl's warnings persist, cautioning Jayesh that the real danger lies within.
As the story unfolds, the audience is presented with a series of turbulent events that beset Jayesh's life, eerily echoing the girl's prophetic claims. Moreover, the lives of numerous young women Jayesh encounters become intricately intertwined with his, playing significant roles in the unfolding drama.
