It starred Nargis Dutt, Sunil Dutt, Rajendra Kumar, Raaj Kumar, Kanhaiyalal Chaturvedi and Kumkum in key roles. Salaam Bombay!
The 1988 movie revolves around the daily lives of children living in the slums of Bombay (now called Mumbai). It focuses on the day-to-day challenges faced by the kids. The 2001 movie showcases the time period of the British Raj. It shows a young farmer who accepts the challenge of Captain Andrew Russell to play cricket and beat his team. So that the villagers do not have to pay taxes for three years. Ashutosh Gowariker’s directorial starred Aamir Khan, Gracy Singh, Rachel Shelley, Paul Blackthorne, Raghubir Yadav and Daya Shankar Pandey in prominent roles.
