Avihitham OTT Release: Unni Raj starrer Malayalam black comedy drama movie released in theatres on October 10. The film received mixed reactions from the audience and the critics. After completion of its theatrical run, the movie is set to entertain viewers all over again but through the digital medium. Yes, moviegoers who could not watch the film on the big screens can watch the film from the comfort zones of their home. Here are the official streaming details.

When And Where To Watch Avihitham Online?

Avihitham is slated to release on JioHotstar from November 14 in Malayalam, Telugu, Hindi and Tamil and Kannada languages. The OTT platform shared the news on its social media handles and wrote, “Avihitham – Not just a man’s right. Streaming exclusively on JioHotstar from November 14th.”

What Is Avihitham All About?

The movie revolves around a man named Prakashan. One night, when he was returning home after drinking with friends, Prakashan came across an affair between a young man named Vinod, a neighbour and a young woman in the field of Madhavan, a carpenter in the village. It focuses on how Prakashan shared this matter with Venu, a tailor. The very next night, they all witness the affair firsthand. Avihitham stars Unni Raj as Venu, Renji Kankol as Prakashan, Vineeth Chakyar, Dhanesh Koliyat, Rakesh Ushar, Vrinda Menon as Nirmala, Ajith Punnad, Unnikrishnan Parappa and Aneesh Chemmarathi in key roles. It has been directed by Senna Hegde and produced by Mukesh R. Mehta, Harris Desom, P. B. Anish, C. V. Sarathi and Senna Hegde. The cinematography has been done by Sreeraj Raveendran and Ramesh Mathews. Avihitham was initially released in theatres on October 9, 2025 by Home Screen Extertainment in GCC, just a day before its official release. The music of the film has been directed by Sreerag Saji.

In an interview with The Hindu, Senna stated that he did not make Avihitham, thinking it would become a hit at the box office. “It is an attempt. It had a limited release in 40-odd centres. The response has been really good, especially in North Malabar and the multiplexes, thanks to word-of-mouth publicity,” he added.
