F1 The Movie OTT Release: Brad Pitt’s high-octane sports drama F1: The Movie is officially racing to streaming. After a record-breaking theatrical run, the sports drama is set for its OTT debut. The film proved to be a global sensation, grossing over $629 million and becoming the highest-grossing live-action movie of Pitt’s career. Audiences and critics alike praised its thrilling energy, with an “A” CinemaScore and a remarkable 97% audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Joseph Kosinski, Lewis Hamilton, and Brad Pitt, the film was directed by Top Gun: Maverick filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. It stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Javier Bardem, Tobias Menzies, and Kim Bodnia. The Apple Original Films title will premiere worldwide on Apple TV on December 12, 2025. F1: The Movie was shot during real Formula 1 Grand Prix weekends, offering viewers a front-row seat to the adrenaline and intensity of the sport. Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, a once-legendary driver returning to Formula One after 30 years, teaming up with rookie racer Joshua Pearce under the struggling APXGP team.

Meanwhile, at the box office the movie marked a milestone for Apple Studios, becoming its first theatrical release to debut at No. 1 globally. F1 also earned an estimated $34 million in theatrical profit by September 2025. The film’s success extended to India, where it grossed over Rs 100 crore. Ahead of its free streaming debut, F1: The Movie is available for digital purchase on Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.

On the other hand, producer Jerry Bruckheimer expressed his excitement, saying it was “thrilling to see audiences around the world embrace F1: The Movie in cinemas,” adding that the team is now eager to share it with fans on Apple TV’s global platform. Its companion soundtrack, F1: The Album, has already sold over 600,000 copies and is close to one billion streams, further proving the film’s worldwide appeal.
