Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest will bring back the magic of romantic movies in My Oxford Year. Sofia will be seen playing the role of a young American girl named Anna De La Vega. Her character sets out on a journey to pursue her dreams at Oxford University, UK. Anna’s love story unfolds against the charming backdrop of university life and city landmarks. There, she meets a clever and witty local named Jamie Davenport, to be played by Corey Mylchreest. Being a chill guy, Jamie brings out an unexpected emotional insight to Anna's carefully planned career path. One of the highlights of the movie is the use of poetry and literature to unfold the story.
Apart from Sophia and Corey, the movie also stars an ensemble cast including Dougray Scott (Jamie's father), Catherine McCormack (Jamie's mother), Harry Trevaldwyn (Anna's roommate and best friend), Esmé Kingdom (Maggie Timbs), Poppy Gilbert (Cecelia Knowles) plus Nikhil Parmar, Romina Cocca, Yadier Fernández, Nia Anisah and Hugh Coles.
