Nimitta Matra On OTT: The Kannada psychological thriller Nimitta Matra, which was released in theatres on 13th February this year, is finally making its OTT debut. Despite receiving positive reviews for its strong performances and intriguing storyline, the movie failed to impress audiences at the box office. However, fans of thrillers will have another chance to experience the movie's suspense and twists as Nimitta Matra is set to stream online.

Nimitta Matra OTT Release Date OUT

The Kannada movie Nimitta Matra will be streaming on Sun NXT on May 30, 2025. The streaming giant made the official announcement for the same with a post on their Instagram handle, and the caption written in Kannada read, “Eradu jana ondhe kolakaara-na hudukutha idhare. Adhre yaake hidiyake aglila? Hege thapsikoluthana?! Thilkoli - ee sukruvara, nimma SunNXT-alli barthide “Nimitta Mathra”

About Kannada Movie Nimitta Matra

Nimitta Matra follows the story of an investigative journalist who becomes entangled in a frightening incident in Mangaluru that occurred 15 years ago. Motivated by his father's history, he seeks to uncover the truth and deliver justice to the victims of a tragic occurrence by combining parapsychology with suspense. The movie features a talented cast, including Sangeetha Rajeev, Poornachandra Mysuru, Aravind Kuplikar, Chethan Rai Mani, Lakshmi Karanth, Nikhil Parthasarathy, and Nitesh Nittur. The Kannada movie's cinematography is handled by Vijay Monteiro, and the dialogues are written by the director and Pradyumna Narahalli.

Meanwhile, helmed by Roshan D’Souza, Nimitta Matra came as a breath of fresh air for the Kannada film industry, which is often dominated by love stories and family dramas. According to a report in Cinema Express, the movie's director said, “Nimitta Matra is a complete commercial thriller, and for those who are unfamiliar with parapsychology, the film provides a whole new experience." 

Poornachandra Mysuru, one of the lead actors, also reportedly said, “The film is a commercial thriller filled with twists and turns that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats from beginning to end. I hope it remains unforgettable until the final credit." The movie's music is composed and sung by Sangeetha Rajeev, who also co-wrote the film and its lyrics alongside Pradyumna Narahalli.

On the other hand, Nimitta Matra marked Sangeetha Rajeev's debut in the Kannada film industry. Previously, she was seen in the Bollywood movie Red Collar, which was released in 2024.
