Varanasi OTT Streaming Rights: In contrast to the current trend of multiverse-driven storytelling made popular by international superhero films, Varanasi reportedly plans to investigate full-fledged time travel. The movie is already the focus of excitement, despite the fact that SS Rajamouli only unveiled the title of his upcoming masterwork almost a month ago. The movie also gains from the star power of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra, and Prithviraj Sukumaran. It should come as no surprise that the movie has generated a lot of pre-release buzz, with OTT services apparently vying for the digital rights, even though the premiere is still more than a year away.

Varanasi is the most sought-after property in the streaming market and one of the most talked-about projects. OTT behemoths are making every effort to protect their rights, as per Hindustan Times.

"Varanasi is the hottest property from India in the global streaming market. The film follows the immense success of RRR in the West, as well as its Oscar win. Rajamouli’s previous film, Baahubali 2, had also earned over $62 million overseas. This has made the director a recognised name and face in the West."

The final sum could reach Rs 1,000 crore, according to the portal's trade sources, and platforms are thinking of paying as much as they would for any Hollywood movie. If this agreement is completed, it would establish a new standard for pre-release earnings from digital rights for an Indian movie. Varanasi is already positioned to become one of the biggest Indian films ever produced when the music, satellite, and theatrical distribution rights are taken into consideration.
