The Bengal Files OTT Platform: Mithun Chakraborty, Pallavi Joshi and Anupam Kher starrer movie has been receiving overwhelming responses from the audience so far. As per industry trackers, the film is likely to start off with a slow note, collecting Rs 1 to 2 crore on the opening day. However, seeing the buzz online and the film is expected to do wonders during its theatrical run. Amid the hype about the movie, there is an update on its OTT platform. Are you excited to know?

Going by the official posters of The Bengal Files, the digital and streaming partners are Zee5 and Zee Cinema. The film is the third instalment of Vivek Agnihotri’s The Files trilogy. The previous parts- The Kashmir Files (2022) and The Tashkent Files (2019) have been streaming on Zee5. So, no wonder, this time too, the movie is likely to be released on the same platform.

What Is The Concept Of The Bengal Files?

The political drama movie focuses on the tragic events that occurred during that time of 1946 Great Calcutta Killings. It shows the violence that was spread across the regions of the Bengal Presidency including Noakhali riots of 1946 and incidents in Tipperah and Comilla. The movie is based on the communal violence that highlights the events that significantly shaped India’s independence and partition.

The film stars Mithun Chakraborty as Madman Chatur, Pallavi Joshi as Maa Bharati, Darshan Kumar as Shiva Pandit, Simrat Kaur as Bharati, Anupam Kher as Mahatma Gandhi, Saswata Chatterjee as Sardar Husseini, MLA, Namashi Chakraborty as Ghulam Sarwar Husseini, Rajesh Khera as Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Puneet Issar as Rajnath Singh and Priyanshu Chatterjee as Justice Banerjee.

As per a report by Moneycontrol, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 30 crore. The movie is expected to do wonders at the box office in the coming days and break the records of The Kashmir Files and The Tashkent Files.
