Upcoming Kdramas On OTT In September 2025: The Kdrama fans get ready, as September has new and fresh shows in store for every viewer. With a mix of suspenseful thrillers, nostalgic journeys, intriguing mysteries, comedies, and action-packed content, streaming platforms are expanding their Kdrama content slate. From Song Joong Ki and Chun Woo Hee’s My Youth to gritty series Queen Mantis, there’s plenty of exciting genres lined up to binge-watch. Several prominent South Korean stars, including Park Min-Young, Kim Go-Eun and Jun Ji-Hyun, are making their screen comebacks soon in the much-anticipated new dramas. Upcoming Kdramas In September 2025

Queen Mantis

Streaming Platform: Netflix

The mystery thriller premieres on September 5 on Netflix. Queen Mantis stars Go Hyun Jung, Jang Dong Yoon, Jung Hae Shin, and Jo Sa. The series follows the story of a female serial killer who was sentenced to 20 years in prison, while her son becomes a cop determined to stop such crimes. But when a new killer emerges in the town with the same killing style as hers, he has to work with his mother, the serial killer, to track the culprit.

My Youth

Streaming Platform: Viki

Song Joong Ki is making a comeback to his romantic hero era with My Youth. He will be seen alongside Chun Woo Hee, marking their first on-screen collaboration and fans are already excited about the fresh pairing. Besides the main cast, the series includes Lee Joo Myung, Seo Ji Hoon, Jin Kyung, Yoon Byung Hee, and Lee Bong Ryun in supporting roles. In addition, Jo Han Chul, Song Joong Ki’s co-star from Vincenzo, is also returning for this Kdrama. The show is scheduled to release on September 5 on the OTT platform Viki and Korean broadcaster JTBC. The story follows Sun Woo Hae ( Song Joong Ki), a former child star who has transformed into a florist and is living an ordinary life. Confidence Queen

Streaming Platform: Prime Video

A Kdrama remake of the Japanese series Confidence Man JP, starring Park Min Young, Park Hee Soon, and Joo Jong Hyuk, is set to release on Amazon Prime Video on September 6, 2025. Confidence Queen tells the story of a woman who becomes a con artist. She forms a trio to expose scammers and take back their ill-gotten gains.

Tempest

Streaming Platform: Disney+

The story follows a former diplomat and an international special agent who uncover the truth behind a deadly attack that threatens the stability of the Korean peninsula. The series, Tempest, is headlined by Gianna Jun and Gang Dong Won and will premiere with three episodes on September 10 on Disney+ and Hulu in the U.S., followed by weekly episode drops culminating in a two-part finale on October 1. The series also features John Cho, Lee Misook, Park Haejoon, Kim Haesook, and Yoo Jaemyung.

You And Everything Else

Streaming Platform: Netflix

From their teenage years to adulthood, two best friends bound by warmth and tension reconnect after a long time, until one is asked to accompany the other through her final days. The series about love-hate relationship, You And Everything Else, starring Kim Go Eun, Park Ji Hyun, Kim Gun Mu, is set to launch on Netflix on September 12.

A Hundred Memories

Streaming Platform: Viu and Viki

Set in the 1980s, the slice-of-life drama stars Kim Da Mi and Shin Ye Eun as two bus attendants whose friendship is tested by a love triangle. A Hundred Memories will premiere on JTBC and stream on Viu and Viki starting September 13.

The Murky Stream

Streaming Platform: Disney+

The Murky Stream is set in the Joseon era, a lawless time and depicts the struggles of people fighting to live with dignity in a corrupt world. Starring Rowoon, Shin Ye Eun, Park Seo Ham, and Park Ji Hwan, this historical series will release on September 26 on Disney+.

Other much-awaited dramas slated to release in September include Shin's Project, First Lady, and Kiss Me For No Reason, whose release dates and OTT platforms are yet to be announced.
