Pakistani actor Imran Abbas, known for his brief stint in Bollywood, recently shared insights into the blockbuster Bollywood films he once rejected. In a conversation with Nida Yasir on her show Shan-e-Suhoor, Imran disclosed that he had declined offers from renowned filmmakers like Mahesh Bhatt, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Rajkumar Hirani.
The actor candidly revealed that he had turned down the lead role in Mohit Suri's 2013 romantic drama Aashiqui 2. He expressed regret over this decision, stating, "When I look back at my career, I rejected a film like Aashiqui 2. People keep telling me how could I say no to Aashiqui 2 and Ram-Leela."
Imran Abbas also disclosed that he was offered the role of Sarfaraz in Rajkumar Hirani's blockbuster PK. He further mentioned that he was approached for a role in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming web series Heeramandi, which unfortunately got shelved. Additionally, he revealed that he was the first choice for Aditya Roy Kapur's role in Guzzarish. However, he was seen in Vikram Bhatt's 2014 movie Creature 3D alongside Bipasha Basu. He also had a cameo in Karan Johar's 2016 movie Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which also starred Pakistani heartthrob Fawad Khan.
Despite these offers, Imran Abbas clarified, "The only official offer made by the director Mohit Suri and the producer was for Aashiqui 2. Please don't try to discourage me because I won't be affected."
