Mithun Chakraborty receives threats from Pakistani gangster: Veteran actor and senior BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty has become the latest target of threats from Pakistani don Shahzad Bhatti, who has demanded an apology within 15 days. This development comes on the heels of similar threats issued to Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Shahrukh Khan. According to reports, Mithun has been threatened over his recent statement, with Shahzad Bhatti surfacing in two videos, issuing ominous warnings from Dubai. The situation is alarming and fans are worried about Mithun's safety.

The BJP leader landed in hot water over his allegedly provocative speech at a party event in Kolkata on October 27. During the event, which was attended by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Mithun referenced a controversial statement made by Humayun Kabir, a TMC MLA from Bharatpur in Murshidabad, during the Lok Sabha elections. Kabir's statement had sparked outrage, with him allegedly saying that 70% of the population in Murshidabad district is Muslim and that Hindus would be "cut and thrown into Bhagirathi".

Mithun's response was equally provocative, saying, "We will not cut you and throw you into the river, but will definitely bury you in your land." This statement has been deemed incendiary and has led to an FIR being registered against him. The BJP state president, Sukanta Majumdar, has come to Mithun's defence, claiming that the FIR is a result of "vendetta politics" and that there was nothing provocative about his speech.

After this, a Pakistani don has threatened him. The don warned Mithun that failing to apologise would lead to regret, stating that Mithun's words had hurt Muslims and that he should not speak nonsense at his age.

In his video message, Bhatti said, "You should apologise by releasing a video in 10-15 days; this is better, and it is also right to do so. You have hurt us. Muslims have given you as much respect as people of other religions have loved you."
