Indian playback singer Pamela Chopra passed away on April 20 in Mumbai. The news of her abrupt death put the whole industry in shock. From Aamir Khan to Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and more, B-town celebrities showed up in large numbers to pay their last respects to the late singer.
On April 23, 2023, a prayer gathering was organised in memory of the late Yash Chopra's wife which was attended by B-town celebs including Vicky Kaushal, Dimple Kapadia, and more.

Pamela Chopra was the wife of founder and filmmaker Yash Chopra. The Indian playback singer passed away on April 20 after battling pneumonia.
Soon after her death, the production house issued a statement that read, "With heavy hearts, the Chopra family would like to inform that Pamela Chopra, 74, passed away this morning. Her cremation took place at 11 am today in Mumbai. We are grateful for your prayers and the family would like to request for privacy in this moment of deep sadness and reflection."

Pamela Chopra lent her voice for hit Bollywood songs like Main Sasural Nahi Jaaungi from Chandni, Ghar Aaja Pardesi from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Meri Maa Ne Laga Diye from Darr, and more. Sharing the video of the same, YRF wrote, "Our heartfelt tribute to Mrs. Pamela Yash Chopra. Her memories will be engraved in our hearts, jab tak hai jaan (until there is life)."
