Park Hyung Sik and Park Bo Young are often remembered as one of Kdrama’s most beloved on-screen couples. Their undeniable chemistry in the 2017 hit drama Strong Woman Do Bong Soon continues to captivate fans, making it a timeless comfort watch. However, dating rumours surrounding the duo have followed them for years, sparking curiosity among fans.

In a recent interview with Singles magazine for its February issue, Park Hyung Sik addressed these speculations, shedding light on the origin of the rumours. The actor, currently promoting his upcoming drama Buried Hearts, recalled an incident during the filming of Strong Woman Do Bong Soon that unintentionally fueled gossip.

According to Park Hyung Sik, the rumors began when a video of Park Bo Young removing an eyelash from his face surfaced online. While it was a simple and thoughtful gesture, the clip was perceived by some as a private moment between the two. This misinterpretation led to widespread speculation about their relationship.

Park Hyung Sik clarified that the situation was blown out of proportion, emphasizing that it was nothing more than a kind act from his co-star. He also reflected on their close bond during the filming of the drama, where their genuine admiration for each other translated into their exceptional on-screen chemistry.

Fans have long cherished the duo's interactions, both on and off-screen, often hoping for their reel-life romance to turn into reality. Park Hyung Sik’s heartfelt words about Park Bo Young during the drama’s promotion further fueled these hopes. Back in 2017, he candidly expressed his emotions, saying, “You were the perfect Bong Soon. It was so natural for me to love you. I wanted to love you more, but I’m sad it’s over.”

Park Bo Young also spoke highly of Park Hyung Sik, revealing that she admired him even during his days as a member of the Kpop group ZE:A. While their mutual respect and fondness have always been evident, neither has confirmed any romantic relationship.
