Patriot New Realease Date: Fans of Malayalam cinema will have to wait a little longer as the highly anticipated espionage thriller Patriot, starring the legendary duo Mammootty and Mohanlal, has been officially postponed. Originally scheduled for a grand theatrical release on April 23, 2026, the makers have pushed the date back, citing the need for further post-production work to ensure the highest quality.
This was confirmed by the film’s production house, Anto Joseph Film Company. In a heartfelt statement shared on Instagram, producer Anto Joseph addressed the eager audience, explaining the difficult decision to delay the project. The statement, originally penned in Malayalam, translated to, "Dearly beloved, we are working hard to bring Patriot to you in the best possible quality. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are compelled to postpone the film’s release from the originally scheduled date of April 23 by a few days."

The production house assured fans that the wait would not be long, adding that the fresh release date would be announced this evening, April 1, at 6:00 PM, through the official social media handles of both Mammukka (Mammootty) and Lalettan (Mohanlal).

What’s Next For Mammootty And Mohanlal?
On the work front, Mohanlal is preparing for the massive release of Drishyam 3 and is currently filming for L366, where he plays a police officer. Meanwhile, Mammootty is set to appear alongside Dhanush in D55 and has announced his next solo venture, Padayaatra.
