Phule Postponed: Phule, the next movie starring Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa, was supposed to hit theaters on Friday, but it has apparently been postponed. The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has requested that the movie's crew alter dialogues before release, according to the Mid-Day report.

Phule Movie CBFC Changes And Cuts

Phule movie has faced a two-week delay. The cast and crew of the movie has been instructed to take down the voiceover that discusses Manu Maharaj's caste system. Additionally, they have been instructed to eliminate phrases like 'Mang,' 'Mahar,' and 'Peshwai.' 

Phule movie makers have has been suggested that 'boys throwing cow dung balls at Savitri Bai' be used in place of the image of a 'man carrying a broom.' 

'Jahan kshudro ko......jhadu bandhkar chalna chahiye' has been changed to 'Kya yahi hamari..... sabse doori banake rakhani chahiye' and '3000 saal puraani.....gulaami' to 'Kai sal purani hai'.  Additionally removed was a 43-second conversation that said, 'Yaha 3 M hai...Aur hum vahi karne ja rahe hai.'

Why Phule Movie Postponed?

Pratik and Patralekhaa portray Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule, two social reformers from the 19th century, respectively, in the movie. The movie, which was directed by Ananth Mahadevan, emphasises their struggle against gender inequity and caste injustice.

A segment of the Maharashtra Brahmin population voiced concerns with their depiction in Phule, which led to the postponement of the movie, reportedly.

Phule Cast, Plot And New Release Date

Phule movie's trailer provides an overview of the renowned reformers' battle to 'change the status quo of women, particularly widows and Dalits.' Zee Studios will release Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa starrer Phule, which was produced by Dancing Shiva Films and Kingsmen Productions.

Producer Ritesh Kudecha confirmed the change of date from April 11 to 25, as per Bollywood Hungama report.
