Ponman Box Office Collection Day 1: Basil Joseph and Sajin Gopu starrer Malayalam movie released in theatres on February 6, 2025. The movie has received positive responses from the audience and the critics. Despite getting positive reviews, the film started off on a disastrous note. Well, the weekend collection of Ponman will decide the fate of the movie’s overall performance. Basil Joseph’s last movie Pravinkoodu Shappu also opened on a slow note which earned Rs 1.5 crore. If Ponman also fails to perform at the ticket windows then it will be two box office failures for Basil Joseph. 

Ponman Box Office Collection Day 1

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 0.75 crore on day 1. The film had an overall 19.75 per cent Malayalam occupancy in theatres on Thursday. It had 14.93 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 14.29 per cent in the afternoon shows, 18.56 per cent in the evening shows and 31.22 per cent in the night shows.

As per several reports, the movie was made on a budget of Rs 3 crore. 

About Ponman 

The story is about a gold dealer named Ajesh, who lends precious sovereigns for a village wedding. But his fate has some other plans as he finds himself in danger when the bride’s criminal husband makes a plan to keep the gold and kill him. The movie features Basil Joseph, Sajin Gopu, Lijo Mol Jose, Anand Manmadhan, Deepak Parambol and Kiran Peethambaran in key roles. The film has been directed by Jotish Shankar and written by GR Indugopan, Justin Mathew.
