Mani Ratnam-directorial Ponniyin Selvan 2 has been doing wonders at the Box Office. The movie emerged at the highest grosser in Kollywood in 2023. The makers announced a few days ago that PS2 grossed 300 crores from across the world.
While moviegoers were anticipating the movie's potential box office growth, one of its producers, Lyca Productions, appears to have come under fire from the Enforcement Directorate (ED). Today, the production company's Chennai headquarters were raided by the law enforcement and economic intelligence agencies.

According to a report in OTT Play, the searched are being conducted appening at their offices under money laundering suspicion. It is pertinent to note that the announcement regarding the final result after the raid is still awaited. ED has recently been closely monitoring the actions of a select group of performers and production firms across a number of different film sectors.
Lyca Productions has bankrolled movies like Indian 2, Kaththi, Ponniyin Selvan 1, Darbar and more. The production house's next release is Theera Kaadhal, starring Jai, Aishwarya Rajesh and Sshivada in lead roles.
Talking about Ponniyin Selvan 2, the latest Box Office report stated that the movie has earned a total of 173 crores nett in India, which equals 204.14 crores gross, while it has grossed 121 crores from overseas market. On the whole, the worldwide collection stands at 325.14 crores gross.
