Vishnu Manchu's upcoming venture, 'Kannappa,' is highly anticipated in 2024. This mythological film is rumoured to be a multi-starrer project, boasting the presence of several esteemed celebrities from various industries, with earlier reports suggesting that Prabhas will make a cameo appearance as Lord Shiva. Featuring Vishnu in the lead role, the film is a fantasy drama based on the tale of a devoted follower of Lord Shiva. Directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh, the production commenced in August 2023, with filming currently underway in New Zealand. Originally shot in Telugu, the movie will be dubbed and released in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Additionally, Akshay Kumar has recently teamed up for the star-studded Kannappa.

Prabhas To NOT Play Shiva

Recent rumours suggest that the actor will not portray the character of Lord Shiva in the movie. Instead, he is rumored to depict the role of Nadeeswarudu. According to reports from Gulte, Prabhas' team requested the 'Kannappa' team to assign a different role for the actor, considering his portrayal of a character similar to Lord Maha Vishnu in his upcoming sci-fi film 'Kalki AD 2898'. It is now speculated that the role of Lord Shiva will be undertaken by Akshay Kumar, although official announcements are awaited.
