Actor Vishal is causing quite a stir as he promotes his upcoming movie Rathnam. With just around 10 days remaining until the film hits theaters, the actor is building up excitement by engaging in controversial interactions when questioned about various topics. While Vishal's interest in politics is well-known, when a reporter inquired about his potential political debut, instead of providing a straightforward answer, Vishal diverted the conversation and indirectly criticized Superstar Rajinikanth.
In a media interaction, Vishal said, “Yes, I am going to enter politics. I won't beat around the bush saying I will come, or I will come if he (God) wants me to, or I might come. I will definitely enter politics.” Even though he didn't specifically mention any names, it was clear from his teasing remarks that they were aimed at Rajinikanth.
Rajinikanth’s Political Career
On December 31, 2017, Rajinikanth made a public announcement about his decision to enter politics. He expressed his intention to participate in the 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly elections and revealed plans to contest in all 234 constituencies.
Additionally, he stated that if his party failed to deliver on its electoral promises within three years of assuming power, it would voluntarily dissolve. However, on July 12, 2021, Rajinikanth disbanded his organization, Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM), and declared that he had no intentions of pursuing a political career in the future.
