Priyanka Chopra, along with actors Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari Wagh, recently lauded filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali for his debut OTT series, 'Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,' currently streaming on Netflix India. The trio took to social media to express their admiration for Bhansali and his latest project.

Priyanka Chopra, who has previously collaborated with Bhansali on films like 'Bajirao Mastani' (2015), 'Mary Kom' (2014), and 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela' (2013), shared a poster of 'Heeramandi' on her Instagram Stories. She recalled Bhansali's passion for the project, stating, "I remember how much you wanted to make this. Congratulations" along with a red heart emoji. Priyanka also tagged several other actors including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal, and Sanjeeda Sheikh. Notably, earlier reports were suggesting that Priyanka was being considered for a role in 'Heeramandi.'

Ayushmann Khurrana also praised the series, calling it "a true masterpiece by a master storyteller" on his Instagram Stories. Similarly, Sharvari Wagh shared her admiration for Bhansali, describing him as having a "Midas touch" and expressing her love for all the characters in 'Heeramandi.'

'Heeramandi' boasts an ensemble cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Sehgal, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Fardeen Khan, Taha Shah Badussha, Shekhar Suman and Adhyayan Suman. Set against the backdrop of India's struggle for independence in the 1940s, the series explores the lives of courtesans and their patrons, delving into the cultural dynamics of Heera Mandi.

Apart from her involvement in 'Heeramandi,' Priyanka Chopra has an exciting lineup of projects. She is set to star in 'Heads of State,' an action comedy featuring Idris Elba, John Cena, and Jack Quaid, directed by Ilya Naishuller. Additionally, she will be seen in 'The Bluff,' directed by Frank E Flowers.

Bhansali and Priyanka's association has resulted in some remarkable cinematic experiences, with 'Bajirao Mastani' being a standout collaboration.
