Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun’s Movie Screening Disrupted In Mumbai After ‘Unknown Substance’ Sprayed Inside Theatre

Pushpa 2: A major difficulty arose after a screening of Allu Arjun starrer Telugu movie Pushpa 2: The Rule was disrupted. The incident took place at Gaiety Galaxy theatre in Mumbai on December 5 when someone sprayed an unknown substance. The incident shook the viewers and they complained of throat irritation after which the screening was halted. A team of police went to the location to investigate the matter. As of now, a case has not been registered yet. 

During the screening of Pushpa 2 at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad on December 4, a 35-year-old woman lost her life during the stampede case. A huge crowd accelerated after they tried to catch a glimpse of Allu Arjun. Her 9-year-old son was hospitalised during the incident. 

As per a report by PTI, police have filed a case against Allu Arjun and his security team booked under 118(1) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. 

Allu Arjun reprised the role of Pushpa in the sequel. The movie showcases the rivalry between Pushpa and SP Bhanwar Singh. The film stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari and Divi Vadthya in key roles. Pushpa 2 released pan India on December 5, 2024. The film released in Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada languages. 

Rashmika wrote an emotional note recently and talked about her experience on working with Pushpa. She wrote on Instagram, “Pushpa 2 is releasing tomorrow and right now I am overwhelmed with emotions.. It’s fascinating to see myself be so affected and so personally connected with this team and for a film.. never before have I ever let a film influence my emotions and today on the eve of the release I am feeling emotions I’ve never felt for a film before.” 

She continued, “Hmm.. where do I begin.. Pushpa started in 2021 but for me it started waaaay before that in covid times.. I remember the team coming to my house to train me for the chitoor slang to walking on the sets of Pushpa on day 1 the release of Pushpa 1 and then starting of Pushpa 2 shooting for Pushpa 2 for sooooo long.. everyday for the last 5 years talking about Pushpa.. Sukku sir.. from the point of not knowing how to talk to him to the point where I am so so emotionally connected to him.. ❤️ Allu Arjun sir.. from I point of being so scared of sir to even talk to sir to searching for him in our crowded set to ask if the shot was ok..”
