Pushpa 2: Ahead of the much-anticipated release, Allu Arjun came across a major controversy. A case has been registered against the Telugu actor for his ‘army’ comment. During one of his promotions, the actor called his fans as ‘army’. The statement has not gone well with a few of them. A man named Srinivas Goud has lodged a complaint against the Pushpa 2 actor at the Jawahar Nagar Police Station in Hyderabad.

In a video, Srinivas, who is the president of Green Peace Environment and Water Harvesting Foundation, said, “We have filed a complaint against Tollywood star Allu Arjun requesting him not to use the word army for his fan base. Army is an honourable post; they’re the ones who protect our country, so you can’t call your fans that. There are many other terms he could use instead.”

Notably, Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to be released in theatres on December 5, 2024. The film stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, Sritej, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Priyamani and Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari in key roles. It has been directed by Sukumar.

Earlier in the event, the actor also talked about his costar Rashmika. He said “I want to take two minutes and thank her for everything she has done for this film. Her support is immense. There is no way this film is complete without Srivalli’s support. Me and my director have so much admiration for her because we keep shooting every day, and she comes once in a while. When she comes, those days are so pleasant. She leaves me like such a sweet girl, bringing in so much beautiful, positive energy.” The prequel of the movie was one of the most successful film of 2021. Allu Arjun also got the National Award for Puhspa: The Rise.
