The wait is finally over! The trailer for Dhanush's milestone 50th movie, Raayan, has been unveiled, and it's a thrilling ride from start to finish. The one-minute forty-nine-second trailer, released on July 16, offers a glimpse into the action-packed world of Raayan, where Dhanush plays a man driven by a fierce desire for vengeance.

In the trailer, Dhanush’s character's family was brutally murdered in Chennai, and he's determined to make those responsible pay. As the trailer unfolds, Dhanush is seen taking on the criminal underworld with unbridled ferocity, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. The film delves deep into the dark world of gangsters and rivalries, with Dhanush transforming from an ordinary citizen to a force to be reckoned with.

Raayan marks Dhanush's second venture into direction and is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The film boasts an impressive ensemble cast, including SJ Suryah, Prakash Raj, Selvaraghavan, Sundeep Kishan, Kalidas Jayaram, Dushara Vijayan, Aparna Balamurali, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, and Saravanan in pivotal roles. With its gripping storyline, high-octane action sequences, and standout performances, Raayan is set to hit theatres on July 26, promising an unforgettable cinematic experience for fans and audiences alike.

The highly anticipated film, initially referred to as D50 in January 2023 to mark Dhanush's milestone 50th lead role, was officially titled Raayan in February 2024. Filming began in July 2023, primarily in Chennai and Karaikudi, and wrapped up by mid-December 2023. The movie features a stellar crew, including the legendary composer A. R. Rahman, cinematographer Om Prakash, and editor Prasanna GK.

Initially scheduled for a June 13, 2024, release, the film was postponed due to unforeseen circumstances. However, fans can now look forward to its global release on July 26, 2024, coinciding with the week of Dhanush's birthday, making it a special celebration for the actor and his fans alike.
