Akshay Kumar and Radhikka Madan starrer Sarfira was the Tamil remake of Soorarai Pottru. The movie has been gaining all the appreciation from the audience but failed to make an impact at the ticket windows. The actress revealed Suriya’s reaction about the movie, who originally played the part of Akshay Kumar in the Tamil film. She shared that she was initially scared of how he would react to Sarfira but he appreciated the movie and her performance. The special screening was also attended by Jyothika.

In an interview with News18, Radhikka said “He’s very kind and gracious and a man of few words. He told me, ‘You did a great job. The film is very nice.’ And that meant a lot. He’s a very quiet guy. Sudha ma’am has worked with Suriya in the past and she told me that if this is how he has reacted to our film, it means that Sarfira is really good.” 

“I couldn’t look at him while he was watching the film because I was too scared. I told myself that if he likes it, he’ll tell me and if he doesn’t, then he’ll keep quiet. I’m glad that he said something. It felt amazing. Everybody came together like a team, believed in Sarfira and celebrated it for what it was,” she added. 

Suriya took to his ‘X’ account and wrote “Sarfira will always be an important film for all of us! @akshaykumar Sir Thank you for choosing Sarfira as your 150th film & you’ve made Veer come alive so beautifully @Sudha_Kongara you’ve lived this dream for so many years happy our film is in theatres now #RadhikkaMadan is superb as Rani. @SirPareshRawal is just brilliant.
