Raid 2 Release Date Announced: Ajay Devgn's highly anticipated movie Raid 2 is finally set to hit theaters, but not in May 2025 as announced by the actor. The film, a sequel to the 2018 hit Raid, was initially slated for release on November 15, 2024, but was postponed due to unspecified reasons. Ajay Devgn reprises his role as IRS Amay Patnaik, with Riteish Deshmukh, Vaani Kapoor and Rajat Kapoor joining the cast.

Raid 2 Release Date

As announced by Ajay Devgn, Raid 2 is scheduled to release on May 1, 2025. The actor wrote on his Instagram account, “IRS Amay Patnaik’s next mission begins from May 2025! Raid 2 is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and produced by Panorama Studios and Yash Raj Films. The movie follows Amay Patnaik as he takes on another mission, promising an action-packed and thrilling ride for audiences. With its new release date set for May 1, 2025, fans can eagerly look forward to watching Raid 2 on the big screen.

Like its predecessor, the sequel is based on the real-life income-tax raids conducted by the Income Tax Department in collaboration with intelligence agencies to track and prosecute white-collar crimes. The film was first announced in April 2020, marking the beginning of a lengthy production process. 

Pre-production work commenced in August 2022, laying the groundwork for the filming process that took place in various locations across India, including Mumbai, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Delhi, in the first half of 2024. With its release date now confirmed, fans can eagerly look forward to witnessing the thrilling story unfold on the big screen.
