Alia Bhatt revealed that her RRR co-star Ram Charan adopted an elephant in honour of her daughter, Raha, a gesture she truly appreciates. Although Alia, Jr. NTR and Ram Charan didn't have much time together while filming due to their varying schedules, they grew closer during the promotional activities for the movie.

In a recent conversation with Suresh Productions, Alia Bhatt recounted a humourous moment that occurred a month after her daughter Raha was born when she received surprising news. Alia was taken aback when someone informed her that Ram Charan had sent an elephant, leaving her in disbelief about the possibility of a giant elephant arriving at her building.

Alia told Suresh Productions in a recent chat, “Tarak, Ram Charan, and I, we couldn’t spend a lot of time together on the sets of RRR due to different schedules, but around promotions, we became very close... This is a very funny story. A month after Raha was born, I had stepped down to walk for a bit. Suddenly, I had someone coming and telling me, ‘Ma’am, Ram Charan sir has sent an elephant.’ I was stunned. I was like, ‘Anything can happen: I might have a giant elephant walking in my building right now.’”

"It wasn’t a real elephant. It was a wooden elephant he sent after he adopted an elephant in the wild in Raha’s name. It was such a sweet gesture by him. We call that elephant: Ele and have kept it near our dining table on the fifth floor. Raha often hops on to it and plays," she added.

Alia Bhatt's work front

Alia Bhatt stars in Jigra, Vasan Bala's emotional-action film that premiered in theaters on October 11. The movie has received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising it while others express disappointment. This varied reception is mirrored in its decent box office performance on opening day, despite the festive holidays. The cast also includes Vedang Raina, Sobhita Dhulipala and Manoj Pahwa.

In the action thriller, Alia Bhatt plays Satya Anand, a determined young woman on a quest to rescue her brother, Ankur Anand, portrayed by Vedang, from a prison where he faces torture. Co-written by Vasan Bala and Debashish Irengbam, the film is produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Soumen Mishra under the banners of Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions.
