Renowned actor and producer Ram Charan was recently bestowed with an honorary Doctor of Literature degree by Vels University in Chennai. The prestigious award was presented to him in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the film industry. Ram Charan was also invited as the chief guest at the university's 14th Annual Convocation, where he presided over the graduation ceremony.

Several fan pages of the actor shared pictures and videos of the ceremony, showcasing Ram Charan in a red graduation gown, receiving the honorary degree from the university officials. The official account of Vels University also posted a group picture with the actor, highlighting his achievement.

Ram Charan, known for his roles in blockbuster films such as Magadheera, Yevadu and Dhruva, made his debut in 2007 with the movie Chirutha. His most recent film, RRR, directed by SS Rajamouli, received global acclaim and even won the Oscar for Best Original Song for Naatu Naatu.

Expressing her excitement, Ram Charan's wife Upasana Konidela shared a picture of him on stage, humorously captioned, "Call me doctor." The actor was seen arriving at the Chennai airport on the same day, where he was welcomed with a flower bouquet.

During the ceremony, Ram Charan was joined by other distinguished personalities such as Dr. P Veeramuthuvel, Project Coordinator at ISRO's Chandrayaan, and Dr. GSK Velu, Founder and CMD of Trivitron Healthcare, and Padma Shri recipient, table tennis player Achanta Sharath Kamal.

Ram Charan's upcoming project, Game Changer, directed by Shankar and featuring Kiara Advani, SJ Suryah, Anjali, Sunil and Naveen Chandra, among others, has been highly anticipated by fans. With this latest honour, Ram Charan adds another feather to his cap, further solidifying his legacy in the Indian film industry.
