The much-awaited anime movie Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is all set to hit the Indian silver screen soon. The film will be released in several languages in India including Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu on October 18. It is a Japanese-India film which was initially released in 1992. It was then produced by Japan's Yugo Sako and India's Ram Mohan.  Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama revolves around the Lord Rama who rescues Goddess Sita from Ravana. Legendary screenwriter Shri V Vijayendra Prasad, who is known for his work in Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and RRR, has shown his creative skills in Ramayana. 

Geek Pictures India has recently shared the teaser and poster of the film. While sharing the teaser, they wrote, “A tale as old as time, and forever alive in every heart. Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama coming to theaters across India in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and English on October 18! Teaser out now.”

The co-founder of Geek Pictures India, Arjun Aggarwal said “The Ramayana in anime is a groundbreaking testament to the strength of Indo-Japan collaborations. This fresh, dynamic portrayal of the timeless legend of Ram will undoubtedly strike a chord with audiences across all regions and age groups, bringing this epic to life in a way that’s never been seen before.” 

The film has been distributed by Geek Pictures India, AA Films and Excel Entertainment in India. The movie which is slated to release in theatres on Dussehra this year promises to bring the amalgamation of better cinematic experience with Japanese anime and India’s rich culture.
