The pre-event for IIFA 2024 in Mumbai was a vibrant display of star power and charm, highlighted by the presence of Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Rana Daggubati. The press conference was a lively occasion where the trio showcased their strong camaraderie. The event also saw other prominent figures like Siddhant Chaturvedi and Abhishek Banerjee in attendance, adding to the glamour. Shah Rukh Khan, in particular, stood out with his magnetic presence and witty remarks, captivating the audience.
The highlight of the IIFA 2024 press conference came when Rana Daggubati warmly greeted Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar by touching their feet, earning loud cheers from the audience. Rana remarked, "We are fully South Indian. That's how we do it," leaving everyone in awe. Later, Shah Rukh Khan responded with a tender kiss on Rana's neck and a heartfelt hug, further endearing himself to fans and enhancing the event's warm. The South actor also thanked Shah Rukh Khan, recalling a memorable after-party he attended at SRK's home.

SRK praises Abhishek Banerjee
During his segment, the Jawan actor took the opportunity to praise Abhishek Banerjee for his impressive performance in Stree 2. "So good to see you live after watching your wonderful film. I have been waiting to call you," SRK said.
Next, Karan Johar playfully teased Shah Rukh Khan about his enduring connection with the IIFA Awards. In response, SRK remarked, "Itni taarif kar rahe ho par bulaya toh ek hi baar tha! Tu sab likh ke leke aaya hai. (You’re showering me with praise, but you only invited me once!) KJo added with a laugh, "Just kidding, but these days we have to clarify that!"
Shah Rukh also expressed his admiration for IIFA, saying, "I would love to attend every time, but work commitments always come in the way. IIFA is always thinking big, and now with the inclusion of Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi cinema, it’s more Indian than ever before."

Abhishek Banerjee and Siddhant Chaturvedi will co-host IIFA Rocks, while Shah Rukh Khan and Karan Johar will lead the main awards ceremony. Rana Daggubati is set to host IIFA Utsavam. The event will also feature performances by the legendary Rekha and popular stars like Shahid Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Kriti Sanon. The IIFA Awards 2024 is scheduled to be held from September 27 to 29 at Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
